IT Manager
Location: Managua, Nicaragua

1. ROLE (General function of the position):

We are seeking an IT Manager to lead the company’s technology strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives and enhancing operational efficiency in a mining environment. This role will be responsible for directing the local IT team, ensuring the integrity and scalability of the technological infrastructure, strengthening cybersecurity, and driving the adoption of innovative solutions and automation processes. 

2. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and implement IT strategies aligned with business objectives to drive sustainable growth.
  • Ensure the robustness, scalability, and reliability of the technology infrastructure to support efficient and secure operations in a mining environment.
  • Establish and maintain strong cybersecurity protocols to protect critical information and mitigate operational risks.
  • Lead and develop the IT team to foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and high performance.
  • Manage relationships with external vendors and negotiate contracts to ensure the delivery of effective and cost-efficient technology solutions that meet business needs.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and standards to safeguard operational integrity and maintain regulatory alignment.
  • Lead the integration of emerging technologies and automation processes to transform operations and maximize efficiency digitally.

3. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Minimum of 7 years of managerial-level experience in IT, preferably in the mining or industrial sector.
  • Strong technical knowledge in network administration, cloud computing, database management, and cybersecurity.

4. REQUIRED SKILLS:

5. OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

  • Advanced proficiency in English.
  • Willingness to travel to various sites within the country.
